Representing Muslim and Middle Eastern Clients

This CLE program will offer insights into issues related to Arab and Middle Eastern communities. It is designed to help lawyers gain a better understanding of the needs of clients who are a part of these communities. Featured speakers are experienced in representing individuals in civil rights and discrimination cases, in cases involving human trafficking, and with rights of domestic workers. Speakers include Maya Ayesh, attorney with Jennifer Morton Law; Tom Castelli of the ACLU Foundation of Tennessee; Manzoor Cheema, founder of Muslims for Social Justice; Azadeh Shahshahani and Manzoor Cheema of Project South; and Mike Whalen, a Knoxville-based criminal defense attorney.

This program is free and offers 3.5 hours of general CLE credit. Those seeking CLE credit must register in advance. More information can be found here.
