Due to special events, there will be some road closures downtown on Saturday, Oct. 22, so you may want to leave yourself extra time to get to the library. This will be the easiest route to the library parking garage:

  • Take the Charlotte Ave. exit off of 40.
  • If travelling 40 East turn left onto Charlotte.
  • If travelling 40 West, cross over Church St. and continue to Charlotte. Turn right onto Charlotte.
  • Take Charlotte toward downtown.
  • Turn right on 7th Ave. and drive several blocks.
  • Library will be on your left after you cross Church St. There is an entrance for the library parking garage on 7th Ave.

rday, October 22 for “Broken Policing: Windows for Change,” featuring Jeff Robinson, ACLU deputy legal director and director of the ACLU Center for Justice. The conversation will focus on the realities of race and policing in America, and how law enforcement and community groups can work towards substantive changes in police training, education and culture.

Jeff Robinson is a nationally recognized trial attorney, teacher of trial advocacy, and leader in criminal justice reform. His extensive experience will provide valuable insight into the issues surrounding the criminal justice system in our country.

The event, co-sponsored by Nashville Public Library, will take place at Nashville Public Library - Main Library (615 Church St., Nashville) from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
